The "Stimulous Window" - Vinyl Windows by Silverline - $1500 Energy Tax Credit
Silver Line® windows and patio doors help increase your home's comfort and energy efficiency. Better yet, if you buy them now, you may qualify for a credit of 30% of the product cost up to $1,500 on your federal income tax.*
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 ("the Act") provides federal tax credits for eligible building envelope components that improve energy efficiency. To meet the eligibility performance criteria under the Act, windows, doors and skylights must have both a U-Factor equal to or less than 0.30 and a Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) equal to or less than 0.30.
How to qualify for the Federal Energy Tax Credit**
- Purchase a qualifying Silver Line® window or door with both a U-Factor and SHGC of 0.30 or lower. See Silver Line's Manufacturer's Certification Statement (see link below) for Silver Line products that have NFRC certified U-Factor and SHGC values less than or equal to 0.30.
- Save your sales receipt and the Manufacturer's Certification Statement** with your tax documents.
- Purchase and install qualifying products in your principal residence between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010 and meet all other requirements outlined in the federal tax code.
- Claim the tax credit associated with your qualifying purchase on your Federal tax filing for the applicable 2009 and/or 2010 tax year.
